30 Years of International Business

Rick Parish’s story is one of resilience, courage, and a profound commitment to making the world a better place. As an Australian SAS soldier, he faced the most daunting challenges, surviving not one, but two helicopter crashes during his distinguished military career. His experiences instilled in him a passion for safety, a passion that would shape the course of his life.

Upon retiring from the military, Rick ventured into the world of Oil & Gas safety training, where he designed and built the world’s first HEUT (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) module. This innovative approach to safety training laid the foundation for his first venture, Marine & Offshore, which would later become one of the largest safety training companies in the world, with operations spanning every continent.

In 2012, Rick made a pivotal decision. He sold Marine & Offshore, ready to embark on a new journey. This journey would lead him to the United Arab Emirates, specifically the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). His vision was to establish a company with a broader range of services, focused on the Middle East, and Aquarius Global was born.

However, the inspiration behind Aquarius Global was not solely a business endeavor. It was fueled by a deeply personal experience, one that touched Rick’s heart and changed his life forever. Our Managing Director’s son, Elliot Parish, was diagnosed with brain cancer at the tender age of two. Elliot fought valiantly against the disease, displaying remarkable strength until his passing at the age of four.

In the face of this heart-wrenching adversity, Rick created a charity dedicated to adventure, resilience, and the pursuit of a cure for childhood brain cancer, particularly Medulloblastoma. This endeavor has since raised over $15 million to fund research in the hope of one day finding a cure for this dreadful disease. Aquarius Global’s product, Kinetic7, stands as a dedication to Elliot Parish and all the other angels who have lost their lives to brain cancer. With this product, we are unwavering in our commitment to the cause.

As the world faced the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, Aquarius Global stepped up to meet global needs, especially for quality personal protective equipment (PPE) and an integrated vaccine delivery service. This service was tailored to cater to underserved countries throughout Africa and developing Asia, where infrastructure was often lacking. Aquarius Global played a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of vaccines through cold chain logistics.

Over the years, Aquarius Global has grown into a conglomerate of 17 companies, each aligned with the inequities and difficulties that Rick has personally witnessed throughout his 30-year international business career. He walks the path after seeing it first hand, and this empathy and firsthand knowledge have driven Aquarius Global to leverage an expansive network and collaborate with specialists to deliver solutions to some of the world’s most pressing issues.
